The South I-25 project includes the construction of additional lanes, in both the northbound and southbound directions, from County Line Road south, through Castle Rock. The planned, eventual laneage on I-25 will be:
In addition to the laneage listed above, there will also be acceleration and deceleration lanes to ensure traffic flows as efficiently as possible. The South I-25 project will also include the reconstruction of the Plum Creek interchange. The new interchange will be located approximately 350' north of the existing I-25 bridge over Plum Creek Parkway to accommodate a widening and straightening of Plum Creek Parkway. This new interchange will be a standard, tight-diamond configuration (all the on and off ramps for this new interchange will be connect directly between I-25 and Plum Creek Parkway). This project is tentatively scheduled for construction from late-Spring 2007 until late-2009. A new interchange will also be constructed at future Ridgegate Parkway, approximately one mile south of Lincoln Avenue. This project is being designed and constructed by the City of Lone Tree, with oversight by CDOT. It is anticipated that construction of this project will commence early in 2007. In addition to work on I-25, there will be a new frontage road constructed between the planned Ridgegate Interchange and the Castle Pines Parkway Interchange. Direct access to Surrey Ridge and Schweiger from I-25 will be eliminated and access provided from the new frontage road. For more information about the proposed Ridgegate Interchange, please contact the City of Lone Tree at (303) 708-1818. If you have questions regarding the Douglas Lane project, please call Douglas County at (303) 660-7490.
