Package 2: No-Action with Supporting Measures

This package consists of the No-Action Package with minor improvements to the existing transportation system. There are no major build improvements as a result of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The No-Action Package consists of the existing conditions in addition to the Early-Action Projects, including the Climbing Lanes, Phase I, Climbing Lanes, Phase II, Wolfensberger, Meadows/Founders, US 85 & I-25 Interchange, and 5th Street Overpass. In addition to the Early-Action projects, Douglas County and the Town of Castle Rock have committed to roadway improvements that are also part of the No-Action Package. Typically these improvements address local needs and deficiencies.

Alternate Routes - The I-25 Alternate Route that is included in this package is Crowfoot Valley Road. Crowfoot Valley Road improvements include upgrading Crowfoot Valley Road and Stroh Road to four-lane arterials between Founders Parkway and Parker Road. The US 85 Alternate Route: Extend US 85 is also included in this package.

Supporting Measures - Supporting Measures may include recommendations from the I-25 Interchange Study and Railroad Relocation Study, Transportation Demand Management (TDM) measures, Transportation System Management (TSM) measures, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) measures. Enhancements/Mitigation measures are included as design elements.
