2. Push/Pull Commuter Rail (existing tracks) - A rail system that consists of passenger cars pushed or pulled by a locomotive in primarily at-grade right-of-way. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines (Union Pacific or Burlington Northern Santa Fe) within the corridor.
3. Push/Pull Commuter Rail (improved tracks) - A rail system that consists of passenger cars pushed or pulled by a locomotive in primarily at-grade right-of-way. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines (Union Pacific or Burlington Northern Santa Fe) within the corridor, with additional new tracks constructed for passing.
4. Push/Pull Commuter Rail (new tracks) - A rail system that consists of passenger cars pushed or pulled by a locomotive in primarily at-grade right-of-way. This rail system would operate along new rail lines built within the corridor.
5. Self-Propelled Rail (DMU) (existing tracks) - A rail system that consists of self-propelled diesel (DMU) railcar in primarily at-grade right-of-way. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines (Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe) within the corridor.
6. Self-Propelled Rail (DMU) (improved tracks) - A rail system that consists of self-propelled diesel (DMU) railcar in a primarily at-grade right-of-way. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines within the corridor, with additional track constructed for passing.
7. Self-Propelled Rail (DMU) (new tracks) - A rail system that consists of self-propelled diesel (DMU) railcar in a primarily at-grade right-of-way. This rail system would operate along new rail lines built within the corridor.
8. Inter-City High Speed Rail (existing tracks) - A rail system that can be either push/pull or self-propelled that can obtain maximum speeds of 150 miles per hour or above. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines (Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe) within the corridor.
9. Inter-City High Speed Rail (improved tracks) - A rail system that can be either push/pull or self-propelled that can obtain maximum speeds of 150 miles per hour or above. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines (Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe) within the corridor, with additional track constructed for passing.
10. Inter-City High Speed Rail (new tracks) - A rail system that can be either push/pull or self-propelled that can obtain maximum speeds of 150 miles per hour or above. This rail system would operate along the existing rail lines (Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe) within the corridor.
11. Monorail - A fully grade-separated transit system supported on or suspended from a single beam.
12. Electric Trolley - A single unit light rail vehicle system in which the train cars are a historic trolley.
13. Relocate Existing Railroad, Use ROW for Transit - Relocate the existing railroads (Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe) and construct passenger rail on the existing right-of-way.
14. Improve Existing Freight Railroad - Improve the existing railroad tracks (Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe) so all freight can be transported on trains along the tracks.
