January 2002

CDOT is working to reconstruct the Wolfensberger Bridges over I-25 and Plum Creek in Castle Rock.  Caissons were drilled at Plum Creek and I-25 and abutments were backfilled in January 2002 in advance of bridge work.  Pier cap falsework progress is underway in February and construction of a new CDOT maintenance facility will continue through February. With cooperative weather, all work should be completed in July of 2002.

October 2001

Work will commence on October 3, 2001, with the closing of the southern half of the structure. East bound traffic will then be redirected to the inside west bound lane. This will allow traffic to continue to travel in both directions across the bridge. This traffic configuration will remain consistent throughout the course of the project. With cooperative weather, all work should be completed in July of 2002.
