In the spring of 2009, CDOT began construction on I-25 to widen the highway from three to four lanes between Lincoln Avenue and Founders/Meadows Parkway in Castle Rock.  The widening is expected to improve safety and accommodate increased traffic volumes due to growing populations.

Both projects will require various impacts to traffic.
